Mardi Gras parties this month

Put away your football jerseys and break out the beads, it's Mardi Gras!!!! Carolina Gator Gumbo kicked Mardi Gras season off last weekend at the Neighborhood Theatre. Weekend of Feb. 6


Voodoo Light Rail Crawl - Four bars, beer specials and beads. Enjoy a free pint of beer at Icehouse. Get a head start on collecting Mardi Gras beads. Starts at Icehouse and heads to Gin Mill, World of Beer and a surprise final stop. $10, $15 6 p.m. Saturday, Icehouse Southend Bar & Grill, 2100 South Blvd.
















Weekend of Feb. 13



EpiCentre Mardi Gras - The EpiCentre transforms into Mardi Gras for the evening with street performers, local team mascots, cheerleaders and bands. “Sugar" Handmade Gourmet Donut food truck will be selling beignets and king cake. There will be multiple Hurricane bars and a parade with marching bands and Krewes. 7 p.m. Feb. 13, $15 Paid parking onsite.



















11th Annual Mardi Gras Gala - Enjoy a black tie affair sponsored by the Links. The Johnsons are this year’s Mardi Gras King and Queen. 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14, Westin Charlotte, 601 South College St. $100.















Mardi Gras At Letty's - Join the mixmasters of Haunt pop up cocktail as the serve up traditional New Orleans drinks such as Sazerac and Hurricanes to celebrate Mardi Gras. 6 p.m., Feb. 13, Letty’s, 2121 Shamrock Dr.






Weekend of Feb. 20



Lupus Mardi Gras Gala - Great music, creole food, fortune telling and a Gala King & Queen Coronation are a few of the highlights from this Mardi Gras party. This is a fundraiser for the North Carolina Foundation of the Lupus Foundation. 7 p.m. Feb. 21, Centerstage NoDA, 2315 N. Davidson St. Free parking onsite. $150.










Teal Masquerade - Celebrate Mardi Gras and women who’ve survived gynecologic cancer at this casual event. Ticket includes drink special and a mask. 6 p.m. Feb. 21, Dilworth Neighborhood Grille, 911 East Morehead St. $10. Free parking onsite.
