Feathers flew, laughter filled the room and pillows filled the air at the International Pillow Fight Day. Pummeling strangers with strategically slashed pillows inside a brewery wasn't the same as jumping up and down in bed attacking your siblings, but participants enjoyed themselves.
The inaugural event at Unknown Brewing drew a couple of dozen, not exactly 200, and even more spectators. They came with strategically slashed pillows, for maximum feather effect, as well as pillows named - The Haymaker. Watch the mayhem in the video below.

Cooking Show - Charlotte’s culinary video web series Order/Fire 4: Special NC Craft Beer episode premieres today. Free Range, Fullsteam, Fonta Flora and Burial Beer Co. are featured in this episode. After the premier enjoy a whole hog pig picking with side dishes donated by area chefs. Donations will benefit Farm Hands. Happy hour at 1 p.m., screening at 2 p.m., and pig pickin’ follows the screening. $10 donation to Farm Hands suggested. Free Range Brewing, North Davidson Street, 2320 N Davidson St.
Shop Local - More than a dozen local vendors including food trucks, fashion trucks, artisans and entrepreneurs kick off the spring edition of Front Porch Sundays. 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Parking lot of the Shook Kelley building, next to Sycamore Brewing, 2151 Hawkins St. on the Charlotte Rail Trail.
