Outdoor symphony, LGBTQ picnic and mud volleyball

It can't be Sunday! There are way too many events going down today for this to be a Sunday. Get outside and go play!

Play In The Mud - Habitat Young Professionals hosts Habitat Mud Volleyball to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte. 1 p.m., Ayrsley Town Center.




Broadway's Best - Watch the Tony Awards ceremony live on the big screen in the McGlohon Theater during the 11th Annual Tony Viewing Party. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks and prize giveaways. Have your photo taken on the red carpet with a real Tony Award. McGlohon Theatre at Spirit Square, 345 North College St.  Free.

Symphony In SouthPark - The Charlotte Symphony’s annual outdoor Summer Pops Series starts today. 5 p.m. Symphony Park, 4400 Sharon Road. June concerts are $12; July 3 tickets are $16; Summer Passes for all five programs are $48.
