It's Friday!!! St. Paul & the Broken Bones tonight

It's Friday!!! Get an early start before the evening rain showers. Plus, there's so much to do. Artist showcase at the EpiCentre, end of summer party at N.C. Music Factory and a symphony pop up performance. Yep, a symphony pop up performance. Let's get this party started. See you in the streets!!!

Pop-up Show - The Charlotte Symphony hosts a series of pop up symphony performances leading up to it’s first-ever season preview party on Wednesday. Tonight is the Woodwind Trio. 5:30 p.m. Latte Arcade, 320 S Tryon St.



9/11 Tribute - The Charlotte music community unites for the 6th Tribute to NYC Music to benefit the Levine Children's Hospital. The bands will pay tribute to the music of artists such as Bob Dylan, The Ramones, Simon & Garfunkel, Blondie, Velvet Underground, and more!

Performers include: Junior Astronomers, Ancient Cities, Business People, Ross Adams, Reeve Coobs, Charlie King, Toleman Randall, Evergone, Dust & Ashes, Grey Revell, Sherman Hellville and the Superjam with members of The New Familiars, Triptych Collective, Dead Sea $crilla & Lil Skritt and more! 8 p.m. Neighborhood Theatre, 511 E 36th St. $10 donation to benefit Levine Children's Hospital. Sip & Stroll - The 6th Annual Sip and Stroll: Art & Wine Festival starts tonight. It’s a chance to sample the wines and meet the artists who will have booths set up on Saturday. Cooking Competition - Caravan Coffee and Dessert Bar invites amateur cooks for a local cooking competition featuring grills and smokers at The 9th Annual Summer Sizzlin’ Cook-Off. They’ll cook all night on Friday accompanied by live music. The Belmont Astronomy Society will host a stargazing event simultaneously, as well as a solar viewing on Saturday. At 10 a.m. Saturday, the tasting begins. Attendees will enjoy music by D.J. Buddy Love and a free 
public tasting to determine the winner of the People’s Choice Award. Judging 
will begin at noon Saturday.
