A new happy hour series and Fourth of July festivities

I'm on a USA high!!! USA!!! USA!! We're going to the World Cup Finals. I'm so hype. I'll be celebrating the ladies of Team USA women's soccer in Buenos Aires, but you can party right here. Let's get this party started!!!

Wednesday

New Happy Hour - The Rockhouse crew is starting a monthly Happy Hour Series. First one is 6 - 8 p.m. at the Workman’s Friend, 1531 Central Ave.



Art Happy Hour - Hang out with local artists including the winners of Charlotte’s ArtPop at this edition of Art & Mingle. This week's artists: Alice Holleman and Jon Hairston Jr. 5:30-8:30 p.m., Le Méridien Charlotte, 555 South McDowell Street.


Thursday

New Weekly Series - Blue Goose & Round Table launched Therapy Thursday. Enjoy craft cocktail specials and hookahs. 6 p.m. Vault, 210 E. Trade St., EpiCentre.


New Mint Exhibition - The newest exhibit Mint's American Art Collection features nearly 200 works on paper by American artists from  James McNeill Whistle to Grant Wood. Mint Museum Uptown, 500 S Tryon St. More info.

House Music - RELEASE! Classic & Soulful House Party returns for the 4th of July edition. Petra's Bar, 1919 Commonwealth Ave.

July 4th Parade - It’s a July 4 tradition in East Charlotte. Politicians and a variety of organizations celebrate the 4th of July in the Hickory Grove Parade. The parade winds along Harris Boulevard starting around the intersection of Hickory Grove. Ends with a block party at Hickory Grove Recreation Center, 6709 Pence Rd, with live music, games, food, and contests.


Jazz Festival - Spend the 4th of July under the stars at the Charlotte Jazz & Wine Festival. Rt 29 Pavilion, 5650 Sandusky Blvd. $25.



Day Party - Head over to the N.C. Music Factory for DayJaVu: 4th of July Day Party. Complimentary cookout while the food lasts. 4 p.m. Label Nightclub.
