Robert Randolph launches uptown music series

Today's the day to get fit and have fun. It's my kind of partying. See you in the streets. Let's get this party started.



New Concert Series - Robert Randolph and the Family Band start Friday Live at the Factory. It’s a weekly summer concert series at the NC Music Factory. Along with Robert Randolph and the Family Band,  Chris Cook and the Heartless Road Band will open. 6 - 11 p.m. N.C. Music Factory,1000 North Carolina Music Factory Blvd. $8.
















Courtney Picks - Glam-goth rocker Caleb de Casper delivers piano pop, danceable rock that combines horror and LGBT-friendly imagery. 8 p.m., Tremont, 400 W. Tremont Ave., $10-$13. Read more suggestions from Observer music writer Courtney Devoures in Soundbites.









Family Fun - Bring your family and friends to raise funds and awareness for Right Moves for Youth. Come run or just to cheer on the runners in the 19th Annual Twilight 5K Uptown Charlotte. 7 p.m. Mint Museum Uptown, 500 South Tryon Street.








Live R&B - National recording artist and Charlotte local Sunshine Anderson headlines Ladies Night. 10 p.m. Studio Movie Grill, 210 E. Trade St. $15
