Will this new app revolutionize Charlotte nightlife?

The next big thing could be a Charlotte-based social app targeting partiers.

Socialtopias gave potential socialtopians a preview of the app Thursday at Sycamore Brewing.  The app promises to be tailored to users interests and friends and much more private than Facebook. Think Yelp, Facebook, Groupon, GroupMe and Instagram combined into one. Socialtopias officially launches New Year's Eve. It's worth checking out a sneak preview. You won't get it unless you get it. 7 p.m. Slate Billiards200 E Bland St.
